Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
-
The consumer has the right to contact the seller with a request for remedy (via email at info@ejtytu.com) if they are dissatisfied with the way the seller has handled their complaint or if they believe the seller has violated their rights. If the seller rejects the request or does not respond to it within 30 days of its submission, the consumer has the right to submit a proposal for alternative dispute resolution to a designated Alternative Dispute Resolution entity (hereinafter referred to as the “ADR entity”).
-
The ADR entity may include the Slovak Trade Inspection or another authorized legal entity listed in the register of ADR entities maintained by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic (available at https://www.mhsr.sk). The consumer has the right to choose which ADR entity to approach.
-
Alternative dispute resolution may only be used if the value of the dispute exceeds 20 EUR. The proposal for initiating ADR must be submitted by the consumer no later than one year from the date they first exercised their right with the seller.
-
The consumer may also submit their proposal for alternative dispute resolution via the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform available at http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
